BLACKPINK’s Jennie Put a Twist on Classic French Tips With 3D Pearls

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is gearing up for her long-anticipated comeback. She announced the release of her first studio album, Ruby, on Jan. 22 with a short teaser full of detailed visuals. And while there’s so much to take in — the red hair, the bob, the bloomers, the leg warmers, and, of course, the sheer catsuit — the look she wore just before the big announcement is still lingering on our minds. In particular, we can’t get the ultra-trendy and innovative manicure out of our heads.

To promote the trendy eyewear and accessories brand Gentle Monster, Jennie opted for a super cute coquette twist on business casual. Sporting a pair of silver wire frames from the brand, she wore her hair in an intricate updo, adorned with bangs framing her face and glasses. She wore a simple gray top with a black blazer and matching trousers. However, she layered the pants with a sheer lace white skirt on top and matching white point-toe heels covered in pearls. Taking the coordination to another level, she matched her heels to her nails as well.

The BLACKPINK members’ long-term nail artist Park Eunkyung, founder of Nail Unistella, shared close-up pics of the details on her Instagram page. Jennie wore a set of long almond nails, all covered in a sheer milky white base color, which is right on trend. Making it her own, a large pearl embellishment was placed on the end of each finger. Rather than opting for regular French tips, the tops were inverted to connect to the pearls. The look was classically chic but different, making it edgy and unique.
