Claudia Winkleman’s impossibly shiny hair is gracing our screens which can mean only one thing: The Traitors is back. Series 3 of the popular BBC show landed on New Year’s Day and we are so amped for the drama.
Just in case you’re not up to speed on this tense and thrilling reality series, here are the deets. 22 contestants stay in a spooky castle in the Scottish Highlands with the hopes of getting their hands on a £120k prize. But Claudia doesn’t make it easy for them: the show is full of twists and turns. Out of the 22 contestants, 19 are ‘The Faithful’ while 3 are (dun, dun, duuuun) ‘The Traitors’.
In each episode, The Traitors “murder” (erm, not literally) one of The Faithfuls and between them they have to figure out who The Traitors are. Think Only Murders In The Building meets Cluedo. If one of The Traitors can make it to the end without being sussed out, they take home the cash. If one of The Faithfuls makes it to the end without being murdered, or voted out, then they win the prize.

What day is The Traitors UK on?
The Traitors series 3 premiered on New Year’s Day (which was a Wednesday) at 8pm. It’s a BBC show, so you can watch it live on BBC One or catch up on BBC iPlayer.
When is The Traitors 2025 next on?
There are due to be 12 episodes in total for The Traitors series 3 (just like the previous two series) and they will be aired each week on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The good news is that episode 2 has already been released, and if you missed it you can watch it back on BBC iPlayer. But don’t miss episode 3, which will air tonight (Friday, 3 January) at 9pm.
