Award season is in full swing, and as part of the line-up comes the BAFTAs 2025. The stars gathered for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts on Sunday, February 16, to attend the UK’s version of the Oscars to honor achievements in both film and TV.
The biggest names arrived at The Royal Festival Hall in London, England, shortly ahead of the ceremony, wearing designer gowns and tuxedos, all hoping to go home with a trophy. Ariana Grande walked the red carpet wearing a Glinda-style dress of pink and black, while her Wicked co-star and London native, Cynthia Erivo, dazzled in a white, structural gown. Erivo is nominated in the Leading Actress category, while Grande snagged a supporting actress nom. Wicked is nominated in several other categories, including costume design, production design, makeup and hair, and more.
Other nominees walking the carpet include Selena Gomez, who’s up for the same category as Grande for her role in Emilia Pérez. She’s competing against her co-star Zoe Saldaña, who took home the Golden Globe for the role.
Mikey Madison is also on the awards circuit this year for her role in the beloved Anora. She’s nominated for two BAFTAs, including Leading Actress and Rising Star. Anora is nominated in multiple top categories, including Best Film — which goes against A Complete Unknown, Conclave, The Brutalist, and Emilia Pérez.
Timothée Chalamet also made his way down the red carpet, continuing his own hectic award season appearances for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. The actor is nominated for Leading Actor, while the film itself has been nominated multiple times.
Much like the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs give a sneak peek into what could come from the Academy Awards — which are set to happen on March 2, 2025, in Los Angeles. Until then, here are some of the red carpet looks from BAFTAs 2025:
