Doechii is not here for anyone claiming her showstopping Grammys 2025 performance was not live. Two weeks after the awards ceremony took place, the singer is taking to her TikTok account to shut down accusations that she was lip-syncing on stage — and leaving no room for debate.
“I can’t possibly get on here and say this calmly or nicely. Y’all are stupid as hell. So slow,” Doechii says in her video, which was in response to a comment saying: “Some parts of the live song you can see that she’s not saying anything and the song is still playing with her pre-recorded voice.”
Doechii went on to clarify why that is, saying: “That is my DJ [Miss Milan]’s voice picking up on the lines that I can’t say because I’m doing a somersault. That entire performance was live. I was sick as a dog with bronchitis and the flu, performing my *ss off in a straddle on top of human men. You can hear my beads slapping my mic in the beginning. ”
“[I] worked my *ss off to build the stamina for that, for y’all to play in my face,” Doechii continues before sending off a final message: “I don’t lip-sync. Don’t ever f*cking play with me like that. Ever!”

Despite some naysayers, Doechii’s big night at the Grammys was undeniable. Not only did she put up an outstanding performance, but she also became the third woman ever to win the coveted Grammy for Best Rap Album, celebrating her win with an emotive speech.
Just hours after the Grammys, she kept the streak by releasing her new single “Nosebleeds.” Now, she’s gearing up for the release of “Extra L” on February 21, 2025. The song is a collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, which will be part of the latter’s upcoming album Ruby. Can you think of a more stacked month?
