Remember back in October 2024, when Sabrina Carpenter and Millie Bobby Brown gave us the interaction we never knew we needed during the former’s Short n’ Sweet tour? Well, turns out it was all orchestrated.
In case you need a refresher, late last year, Millie Bobby Brown attended Sabrina Carpenter’s most recent tour stop in Atlanta, Georgia, and her presence, as expected, did not go unnoticed. In fact, she was the protagonist during one of Carpenter’s three acts in the show.
During the Short n’ Sweet shows, Carpenter picked one audience member to “arrest” each night during her Don’t Touch That Dial! segment. During the Atlanta show, the lucky one was none other than MBB, whom Carpenter described as “a gorgeous girl.”
“I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up,” Carpenter said. “This girl is so hot.” She then proceeded to ask the Stranger Things star her name. “Millie, I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before, but stranger things have happened,” she immediately quipped. “It’s so unfortunate we have to arrest you because you’re so beautiful. That sucks.”

After Brown insisted on being arrested, Carpenter handed the actor a pair of pink furry handcuffs, which she held up like a prize to the camera. The moment kickstarted a slew of celeb “arrests” that included Jack Antonoff and his wife Margaret Qualley, Rachel Sennott, and SNL star Marcello Hernández as his viral character Domingo.
Well, in a new interview with Vanity Fair from February 2025, Brown confessed that she actually messaged Carpenter before the show and explicitly asked the star to be arrested during the show, and the singer happily obliged. “I would love to arrest you,” Carpenter reportedly replied to MBB’s request.
If you were wondering why Brown attended the Atlanta stop of the Short n’ Sweet tour, it’s because the star was in town filming the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Aside from that, MBB has also relocated to the Peach State, where she owns a farm with her husband.
