Tubi’s Sidelined: The QB and Me Starring Noah Beck & Siena Agudong Is Officially Getting a Sequel

Teen Vogue can exclusively reveal that the sequel’s plot will test the couple’s bond as they embark on their college experiences and re-evaluate their futures. Per Tubi, the official synopsis reads: “The sequel will focus on freshman star quarterback Drayton (Beck) as he struggles with the weight of expectations after a devastating setback, while dancer Dallas (Agudong) begins to question the future she thought she wanted. As their high school relationship begins to unravel under the pressures of distance and self-discovery, they’ll learn that the bravest versions of themselves emerge when they let life redirect them.”

While making the first film, director Justin Wu says he could “absolutely” envision the world and story of Drayton and Dallas expanding.

“From the beginning, we crafted Sidelined: The QB and Me with rich characters and themes that had the potential to grow into something bigger. The story has so much heart — exploring identity, ambition, and the relationships that define us — and there’s still so much more I want to explore,” Wu tells us. “Seeing the incredible response from audiences has only made that feeling stronger and I’m full of gratitude for their support. It’s so exciting for me and a privilege to pave the road where these beloved characters could go next!”

And where they go next is potentially through the ringer — but stars Siena Agudong and Noah Beck say they are more than ready to tackle the post-high school challenges that lie ahead for their characters, both individually and together.

“Now that Drayton and Dallas are older, they have a lot more to learn about love. There will be even more heart on the line here. I’m really excited to see where life with our QB takes them,” Agudong says. “We get to see Dallas in college. She’s planned everything up until now, so her life must happen in real-time. I can’t wait to explore who she is in this new chapter.”

“Given how the last film ended, I’m honestly just excited to explore college life as Drayton as he enters USC! And more than anything, I’m looking forward to the tone of the film aging with us,” Beck adds. The social media star made his acting debut with the first installment of this film series. “I think being able to further delve into this character will also help me grow as an actor. As for Drayton and Dallas, I think there will be many more obstacles in their relationship that they will have to overcome. Being a former college athlete myself, I understand the difficulties of balancing a lot of plates and the pressures that Drayton may now have to face.”
