Where Can I Watch the Boyzone Documentary?

We all have our own fond, wholesome memories associated with Boyzone. You probably remember the Irish pop boy band from Top of the Pops and the posters on your bedroom wall. They won our hearts with bops like “No Matter What” and “I Love the Way You Love Me.” Sure, they were a little corny, a little schmaltzy, but we loved them.

Now, a new Boyzone documentary has revealed a more sinister side to their story. While we were happily grooving along to their pop songs on our Walkmans back in the ‘90s and early aughts, things were a little more complicated behind the scenes.

Intrigued? We don’t blame you. Here’s everything you need to know about Boyzone: No Matter What, the new documentary that promises to change everything you thought you knew about the iconic boyband.

What is the Boyzone documentary about?

Boyzone: No Matter What is a three-part series that uncovers the untold story of Boyzone’s rise to fame. It traces their origins, from their creation in 1993 by talent manager Louis Walsh, to the peak of their fame in the late ’90s to their eventual separation. Over the course of the three episodes, the series reveals bitter rivalries between the band members and a shocking lack of support for the young men as they shot to stardom.

As Ronan Keating, the band’s lead singer, told Sky this week, they were unprepared for life in the spotlight. “We just played along with it all. I was 16, 17, 18 years of age. I was a child,” he said. “But as you get older and your children get older… you realise what we went through as kids and how unprotected we were and what a dangerous space it was.”
