When all the stars hit the red carpet for the 2025 Oscars, will one Taylor Alison Swift be among them?
The 97th annual Academy Awards are (finally!) almost here, officially capping off awards season. As Sunday, March 2 grows closer and closer, we can’t help but wonder… is Taylor Swift going to the Oscars? And even more, will a certain Kansas City Chiefs tight end be on her arm for the red carpet or the ceremony?
The answer is: Maybe? Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce could very well be in attendance at the 2025 Oscars. Though one thing is for certain; the star will not be performing or presenting at the show.
Per the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Swift’s close friend Emma Stone will present — given that she won the Best Actress statuette for Poor Things at last year’s ceremony — and so will Swift’s other longtime bestie Selena Gomez. Despite its massive popularity, the Eras Tour documentary was not nominated for an Oscar this year as it failed to meet nominee criteria as a promotional concert film.
Since Swift’s name is nowhere on the performers, presenters, or nominees list, it leads us to believe that if she does attend the show, she’ll be there as a guest. (Who is on the presenter list, though, is Joe Alwyn… we’ll just leave that information there.) This year’s performers include RAYE, Doja Cat, Lisa, Queen Latifah, and acting nominees Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who are set to perform a handful of songs from Wicked.
Swift has attended a handful of film-and-TV awards shows in the past, most notably the 2024 Golden Globes, when she stepped out in a gorgeous green Gucci dress and hung out with pals Selena Gomez and Keleigh Teller. (Yes, that was Whispergate.)
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been photographed together plenty of times, including on date nights, at Kelce’s games, and that time he performed onstage at the Eras Tour, but they have never made a big red carpet appearance together. Could the Oscars 2025 be the red carpet debut moment they’ve been waiting for? The color red is their thing, after all…
