It may be almost spring, but Hailey Bieber is stepping out in one of winter’s go-to fabrics: velvet.
For an i-D magazine party in Paris, the model and Rhode founder donned a full, head-to-toe Schiaparelli outfit and put a chic spin on quilted velvet. Instead of looking like grandma’s couch, Bieber looked every inch the supermodel she is in an oversized, light champagne-colored jacket from Schiaparelli’s fall-winter 2025-2026 ready-to-wear collection.
The jacket essentially served as a minidress, hitting right at the top of her thigh. A feathery pattern gave the jacket texture and the broad shoulders, oversized buttons, and long sleeves made it feel modern and ultra-cool. Bieber wore the jacket tightly buttoned to give the silhouette a dress-like shape.

The jacket itself was a statement piece, but Bieber’s accessories were equally fabulous. She styled the jacket with matching Schiaparelli accessories, including big mother-of-pearl earrings, velvet pointed-toe mules in the same champagne shade as the jacket, and an adorable embellished top-handle mini bag, also in that platinum color. (Yes, even her shoes were velvet!) Her hair was parted in the center and pulled back from her face, and she added a pair of skinny sunglasses to protect her eyes from all the camera flashes.
Though Hailey Bieber has never met an oversized blazer or leather jacket she didn’t want to wear, the model has been wearing lots of suiting-inspired outfits lately, including the pinstriped vintage Thierry Mugler suit she donned for a night out with her husband Justin in February. In late 2024, she wore an oversized, menswear-style Saint Laurent suit, giving us a heads up to one of the biggest trends so far this year. Velvet season may be ending soon, but Bieber proves that there is a way to wear the fabric in springtime — no plane ticket to Paris required.
