Lisa of BLACKPINK, Doja Cat & Raye Gave an Unexpected Oscars 2025 James Bond Tribute: Watch

An unexpected trio of performers that included BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye took the Oscars 2025 stage in an awe-inspiring tribute to the decades of music from James Bond films.

The performance was introduced by Halle Berry, who famously played a Bond girl in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day opposite Pierce Brosnan, before Margaret Qualley surprised the audience by appearing on stage. The actor didn’t say a word and instead went right into a choreographed dance in a sleek red dress alongside dancers in tuxes — including Jan Ravnik from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa then entered the Oscars 2025 stage and began singing “Live and Let Die,” originally sung by Paul McCartney and the Wings for the 1973 film of the same name. Lisa belted out the lyrics perfectly, strutting around in a long black custom Rahul Mishra gown with a dramatic slit up the leg.

Next up in the tribute, Doja Cat glittered onto the Oscars stage and began her own unique rendition of “Diamonds Are Forever,” from the 1971 James Bond film originally sung by Shirley Bassey. Doja Cat’s gown fit the song perfectly, as she wore a long embellished number made completely of crystals and diamonds — literally dripping down her body.

The third and final act of the incredible film tribute was from Raye, who sang “Skyfall,” from the Daniel Craig-led Bond movie, originally sung by Adele. Raye looked radiant and chic in her long black and white gown, that resembled her own version of a tuxedo. Raye belted out the song with pitch-perfect ease, surely making Adele proud.

Variety reported that the Academy would be honoring longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson with this James Bond tribute. The movie franchise has received several Oscar nominations and wins for the music, which includes 26 songs. Bowen Yang teased the performance during a red-carpet interview ahead of the ceremony, saying, “What RAYE, Lisa, and Doja are doing is not what you expect and it’s gonna be amazing.” He was so right.
