Rihanna is celebrating International Women’s Day by showing off the iconic way she gave birth.
The superstar musician and entrepreneur shared rare photos of her two sons, RZA and Riot Rose when they were first born. Laying in a hospital bed, the two images show Rihanna cradling her newborn babies right after they came into the world.
“By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay,” Rihanna wrote in the caption, specifying that the first photo is RZA and the second is Riot Rose.
“And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” Rihanna continued, referring to the second photo. In it, Rihanna is wearing pink sunglasses and pearls around her neck. Not to mention, perfectly manicured nails.

Rihanna might’ve pointed out the pearls and sunglasses, but the first image with RZA also shows her wearing three gold necklaces, one with a large medallion.
The Fenty Beauty founder gave birth to her and partner A$AP Rocky’s first child RZA in May 2022. She then revealed during her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance that she was pregnant with her second baby. Wearing the iconic bright red jumpsuit, Rihanna’s baby bump was front and center on stage. She later gave birth to Riot Rose in August 2023.
While fans anxiously await her ninth studio album — which Rihanna promises does exist and will eventually come out — she did tease that she might use recordings of her two young sons on the album. “I already got stuff that I feel I could make hits out of,” Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight last year. “Me and Rocky are already trying to figure out who’s going to use what because it’s so good.” There’s no timeframe of when that may come out, but Rihanna did recently reveal that the album has “no genre.”
