Just like Megan Thee Stallion during Weekend 1 (keep scrolling to get the deets), Mother Monster dealt with some technical difficulties during her second performance of the festival when her microphone began to glitch — basically right away, starting during her song “Abracadabra.”
As noted by Billboard, Gaga ditched the headset for a handheld mic until things got sorted out and later referenced the incident by turning it into a vocal flex, saying, “I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second. At least you know I sing live,” she told the crowd. “I guess all we can do is our best, and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.”
Charli XCX brought out Addison Rae and put Brat Summer to rest
It’s not Coachella without a few guest stars, of course, and Charli XCX welcomed her pal Addison Rae to the stage for a surprise performance. (Rae was already a special guest performer with Arca during Weekend 1, you can read more about that below.) As expected, the two performed their song “Von Dutch,” with Charli in all black and Rae in bubblgeum pink.

And it wasn’t just Rae who got a moment in the spotlight during Charli’s set; the musician also shouted out lots of her peers, friends, and favorite directors in a strobe-lit slideshow. According to Charli, Brat Summer is over, and we should be trading it for an Addison Rae, Lorde, Pink Pantheress, Aidan Zamri, Haim, Yung Lean, Ethel Cain, Cronenberg, Kali Uchis, Pulp, Sean Prince Williams, Perfume Genius, Rosalía, Ari Aster, Krogonada, Caroline, PTA, Joachim Trier, These New Puritans, Turnstile, Hailey Benton Gates, A$AP Rocky, Aronofsky, Blood Orange, Bon Iver, or Celine Song summer instead. Yes, ma’am!
