What to expect from Met Gala 2025
This year’s Met Gala will be held on Monday 5 May, and the theme for the exhibit is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style — drawing from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The Costume Institute exhibit that the event celebrates focuses on the “style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th century through present.”
This year’s co-chairs are Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Anna Wintour and honorary chair LeBron James. Other confirmed guests are Simone Biles, Dapper Dan, Doechii, Ayo Edebiri, Edward Enninful, Janelle Monáe, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Olivier Rousteing and Tyla.

Teen Vogue associate editor Aiyana Ishmael has some thoughts on outfit ideas for Swift.
“It would be iconic if she brought back the bleached bob, and an actually good tailored Zendaya-type suit,” Ishmael says, referencing the dress code, which is “tailored for you.” (Pun potentially attended.) Think Christopher John Rogers or Versace, she says.

The pair have recently been (allegedly) spotted in Boca Raton, Florida, likely enjoying some time to themselves after the chaos and travel of the Eras Tour and the Super Bowl.
