Jax Taylor has always been the reigning villain on The Valley. And even though Jesse Lally is giving the man a run for his money, I still think Jax holds the title. Since his days on Vanderpump Rules, fans have watched Jax gaslight, cheat, and lie to get his way. His behavior never seemed to bother him. And even when he was married, he still couldn’t settle down. Jax and Jesse might be made from the same cloth, but at least Jesse has a few redeeming qualities.
Jax Taylor’s anger took control, leading to a violent outburst against Brittany Cartwright
When Jax feels like he is backed into a corner, the man explodes. Sadly, The Valley viewers are getting a front row seat to his unbridled anger as he goes through his divorce with Brittany Cartwright. In the first two episodes, fans were given multiple instances when Jax was horrible to his wife. When asked how his separation was going during the season premiere, he answered, “It’s not going well. She’s in a rental, and we’re allowed to date other people. I mean, it’s so toxic. It’s so broken.” Brittany painted a very different picture as she shared a scary story. She shared, “He flipped the coffee table, and it hit my knee. It turned black immediately. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’ I’m like, screaming, crying. It was terrifying.”
Jax’s mean streak hasn’t taken a backseat since entering rehab either. An account that had a good working relationship with Jax released DMs that were “vile” and “nasty.” The screenshots show Jax stating, “She doesn’t look like that, and she was hammered.” The blogger, Cici, then asks, “What do you mean she doesn’t look like that? This is her no?” Jax replied, “She edits her pics.” It was evident that he was insinuating she was “bigger” in real life.
Luke Broderick claims Jax is ‘more chaotic’
Even Luke Broderick has opinions about Jax, and he only just got to know the former SUR bartender. While chatting with Decider, Luke opened up about the resident villain’s attitude. The duo didn’t get off to a good start in Season 1, which Luke claims is due to “a total lack of trust.” Luke went on to tell the outlet, “I know I can’t trust him. I think everyone should agree with that. And he doesn’t feel he can trust me because of Kristen. If he tells me something and it gets to Kristen, it’s going to get spread around.”
And when asked about the drama with Jesse, the Indiana native had a lot to say. “I think it would suck to be married to Jesse, but not as much as it would suck to be married to Jax. Jax is just more chaotic, I feel like. They both drink, they both party, they’re both very full of themselves. But, I don’t know, from what I’ve seen between Jax and Brittany over the years, I think Jax is just more diabolical.”
Jesse Lally is entertaining on The Valley Season 2
It seems like Jesse is holding the silver position when it comes to the worst villain in The Valley. But Jesse is making sure to show up and show out. In the first three episodes, he has already ruffled enough feathers with Michelle Saniei. The most recent episode showed him spreading a rumor that claimed his wife slept with a billionaire for $1,500 a night. The realtor also threatened to fight for full custody of their daughter, Isabella, and move her to Orange County. Messy Jesse doesn’t seem too bothered about how he hurts as long as he comes out on top.
Now, what he is doing isn’t the nicest, but it is sure as hell entertaining. Jesse can play mind games like no one else, as he knows how to get under Michelle’s skin. Personally, I think he just likes the chaos. At the same time, Jax seems to get caught in a circular loop where he can’t get over how someone else wronged him, while also failing to admit his faults. The difference between the two men is simple. Jesse still cares, while Jax couldn’t care less who he hurts as long as he is still standing.
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
