Exclusive: Vivian Wilson Reacts to Estranged Dad Elon Musk’s Falling Out with Donald Trump

Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, seems to be having the best time with her dad’s recent public falling out with President Donald Trump. The two grown men have been feuding via social media over the last several days, eliciting some of the best memes and jokes, and also attracting the attention of Wilson.

The 20-year-old trans model has been pretty vocal about her disdain for her father, including in an exclusive interview with Teen Vogue earlier this year, so she’s not one to shy away from condemning the Tesla billionaire-turned-Trump-superfan-and-advisor. After Musk took to X to confirm that his recent breakup from Trump’s administration also meant that the two no longer saw eye-to-eye (did they ever, though?), Wilson shared her own “told you so” thoughts with Teen Vogue and on social media.

When asked by Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Versha Sharma if she had a reaction to her dad’s recent breakup, Wilson reacted with a simple Squidward meme:

Sometimes a meme says it all.

But Wilson had some fun with it on social media too. Posting on her Instagram Story on Friday, June 6, Wilson shared a video of her laughing and smiling, with the caption, “I love being proven right.” She also shared two posts on Meta’s Threads — NOT the Elon Musk-owned X — writing, “Such beauty in life.” Wilson followed it up with, “The weather is so lovely today.”

Her father’s antics on X (formerly Twitter) and in life aren’t going to distract from her own fun. Wilson also shared a series of photos on social media with the caption, “We can’t let the girls fighting on twitter interrupt our soirée.” The photos came from an Interview Magazine party in which Wilson was shown posing with drag icons Kerri Colby and Lexi Love.

After Elon Musk put forward an exorbitant amount of money toward Trump’s campaign and later joined his administration as the head of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), it was only a matter of time before the two egos collided. Vivian Wilson is one of Musk’s fourteen children and no longer has a relationship with him. In her interview with Teen Vogue, she called the Trump administration “cartoonishly evil.”

“It’s terrifying. Every time I open my phone to read the news, I kind of just stare at the wall for 10 minutes,” Wilson said. “It’s horrifying what they’re doing, not only to the trans community, but also to migrants, to communities of color, to so many marginalized communities that are being systematically targeted by the new administration and having protections revoked.”
