Or so it was, at least, until now. Seeing her with the Nike Cortez Platform Comme des Garçons has opened a new chapter in her manual of challenging shoes, not suitable for the rest of us mortals. Maybe if you walk several centimetres above the ground, like her, you can handle them without a problem. Who knows. J-Lo’s Nike collaboration with Comme des Garçons in question was launched in 2018, so the singer, actress and businesswoman must have rescued them from the back of the closet with all the right tools. This piece was once inspired by the Camp aesthetic and all its exaggeration. This is supremely ideal for a diva who doesn’t settle for just any pair of trainers, so perfectly fitting on all counts.
Today Jennifer Lopez has softened them, it must be said, and if it is possible, with a simple and sporty look. Basic T-shirt, oversize trousers and cap, all adorned with her favourite jewellery. Where she could have perfectly placed some gold sandals with infinite heels, as she usually does, she has chosen to remember this iconic pair, only suitable for daring users who are not afraid of heights.
