Just when you thought you were done hearing about Love Island USA for the summer, here comes Season 6’s Kenny Rodriguez and JaNa Craig with an insane breakup that no one saw coming.
The pair finished in third place during Season 6 and star in Peacock’s spinoff, Love Island: Beyond the Villa. Last week, we learned that they broke up, and the more details that are coming out about their split, the worse it looks for Kenny. Allegedly, JaNa found problematic texts on his phone, and one of her close friends put it all on blast.
Kenny Rodriguez’s text messages are being talked about amid JaNa Craig split
When we first learned of this Love Island breakup, JaNa put out a statement hinting that Kenny betrayed her. She called his behavior “terrible, disgusting, and disappointing,” which prompted fans to speculate about what actually happened between the two.
She wrote, “Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.”
As originally reported by TMZ, JaNa’s friend Charmane Smith seemingly spilled some major tea about what caused the breakup. In a since-deleted Instagram Story, she warned women in relationships to go through their partners’ phones.
She wrote, “My advice for women in relationships: if you have access – go thru your man’s phone TODAY. Search keywords like ‘I don’t like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I’m faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can’t wait to be done with this so I can f*ck hella bitches.”
“You’ll thank me later,” Charmane concluded. “P.S. – NEVER spare a man.. Dog them out babygirl! <3”
Charmane put her account on private after posting that, but screenshots live forever. This seemed like a direct shot at Kenny.
Meanwhile, Kenny put up a story on his feed saying that he wanted to “process everything privately.” He also wrote that he felt “grateful” for their time together and didn’t have any hard feelings towards JaNa. She’s definitely not feeling the same way.
“@kennyrodriguez stfu you manipulative liar,” JaNa clapped back on Instagram. “You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off.”
Reality Tea has reached out to Kenny for comment, but has received no response.
