Teen Vogue Summit 2025 closed out with a performance from rising singer and songwriter Hannah Bahng.
The 21-year-old discussed launching her own independent label, Bahng Entertainment. “Creative control has always been super important,” she told Teen Vogue Beauty Editor Donya Momenian.
Bahng is fresh off a new milestone: the release of her sophomore project, The Misunderstood EP, on Sept. 12 through Bahng Entertainment. “I’ve been working on it for so so long,” she said. “Just finally being able to get out the most vulnerable emotional energy, out of my soul, and just being able to show that to the world, has been the most authenticate process for me.”
She also spoke to the rawness of the album. “With my writing process, it’s me letting out my most vulnerable thoughts. I don’t like to keep things to myself because music is the only way to get everything out,” she says. Bahng on went on to say that the album is “all journal.” “I cried ugly tears,” she explained. Specifically, the song “I’m Me Again,” brought those emotions out during the process.
Next, Hannah Bahng will set off on a 28-date North American tour for the EP. “It’s going to be a completely different vibe,” she teased to the audience. “This is going to be full Bahng, drama, stage production!”
