It all started when Zac Affleck threw a hissy fit over his wife going to see the Chippendales. Even though he was much more supportive in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2, it’s hard to erase those first impressions.
Still, Jen Affleck isn’t loving the negative posts and comments fans are making about her hubby. Following her elimination from Dancing with the Stars, the mom of three is clapping back.

“It can be tiring and draining, just because it gets old having to hear the same things,” Jen told E! News. “People will always talk and people will always have their opinions. [But] it is frustrating for him when people don’t see … how much work and effort he’s putting in.”
The frustration of being so unpopular with the fans wears on anyone after a while. Last month after Jen’s elimination from DWTS, a fan shared speculation that her spouse was probably relieved she was out. That opinion obviously struck a nerve with Zac, who fired back, “You’re honestly disgusting, grow up.”
“We’re working on just tuning out the noise of the world,” his wife reacted. “It’s hard to have to constantly open your phone and see negative comments … Subconsciously, we all care to a certain point.”
For her part, Jen has a method for dealing with the haters. “I always have to remind myself,” she explained. “I post, I share my story, and then I take a step back. As long as I’m focusing on being the best version of myself, that’s all that matters.”
Even though Zac deferred his acceptance to medical school so they could work on their marriage, fans won’t give him a break. Meanwhile, Zac admitted in a Season 3 confessional how he really feels about his wife being on the show. He thinks they’d be in a healthier place without either the show or #MomTok. It’s been stressful on their relationship.
Sadly, his wife agreed that he’s “probably right.”
