Season 2 of Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians is so close yet so far, but last night’s red carpet premiere gave us a look at the familiar faces of the cast and along with some new additions. And, these prodigies not only brought out their fashion A-game but also snuck in subtle references to the series as well.
This season is centered around the second book in the series, The Sea of Monsters, and Leah Sava Jeffries and Dior Goodjohn were right on theme with the mermaidcore aesthetic. Jeffries, who plays Annabeth, wore a Tang Chi Couture mermaid gown with a brown velvet corseted bodice with a beige sheer train that flared out, just like a tail. To complete the look, she wore her long auburn hair in soft waves, as if she just came from a saltwater beach, and did a half-up, half-down look with a braided crown.
Goodjohn similarly wore a mermaid gown, but she opted for a bright red satin, which is totally in line with her character, Clarisse, daughter of Ares. She wore her curls in a high ponytail and also opted for soap brows.

Newly added to the cast as Nico Di Angelo, Levi Chrisopulos dressed in all-black, again right on brand for his character. Olive Abercrombie, who was also recently cast to play Bianca Di Angelo, wore a velvet bubble sleeve dress in a deep ocean blue shade with gold floral stitching on the bodice.
