Millie Bobby Brown just debuted a brand new hair color, and it will make you look twice. Given that the Stranger Things actor has worn so many different styles throughout the years — from her short hair to her throwback makeup — that’s not an easy feat. However, her new blonde hair is unlike anything we’ve seen her in before.
Brown debuted her new look on her personal Instagram page. In the first pic, decorated with Y2K-style graphics and stickers, Brown is seen with her blonde hair worn in tousled loose waves with long curtain bangs. She donned a black body-con dress and got glam with a dark lip liner, neutral matte lipstick, and matte gray smokey eyes. In the following photos, we also got a peak at more outfit details, including the trumpet hem skirt, point-toe black buckled heels, chrome nails, and rings.
For such a major drop, Brown opted to skip the caption entirely. People had plenty to say in the comments section though. Content creator Monet McMichael wrote, “HELLO?!! YESSSSS.” Outer Banks actor Madison Bailey commented, “this eats.” Dance Moms star Kendall Vertes simply said, “WOW.”
We can totally understand their reactions. Though Brown has gone blonde before, she previously opted for platinum or honey hues. Her new blonde blowout has major Y2K pop star vibes though, and we’re just so used to her signature light brown hair.

Brown isn’t the only celebrity to make the jump from brunette to blonde recently. Just last fall, Kendall Jenner opted to make the switch from her signature brown hair to a golden Barbie-like hue. Drew Starkey of Outer Banks and the film Queer also went blonde recently, committing to the look by bleaching his eyebrows too for a brief period of time.
While we’re not sure if Brown’s new look is just for fun or perhaps a new role, it’s exciting to see the star in a new way. Let’s wait and see if she has any other major transformations up her sleeve.
