Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025: Nominees, How to Vote, Celebrity Presenters, and More

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 are just around the corner, and we finally have the list of nominees hoping to be crowned during this year’s ceremony.

In case you are new here, Crunchyroll, the leading anime on-demand streaming service, has hosted the Anime Awards annually since 2017. Launched with the desire to “recognize and celebrate anime’s finest series, films, and the talented people who make them,” the Anime Awards have been getting bigger and better each year — and 2025 will be no exception.

This year, Crunchyroll is introducing three new categories to the awards: Best Background Art, Best Isekai, and Best Hindi Voice Artist, for a total of 32 categories. You might have noticed the Awards are happening a bit later this year, shifting its traditional March slot to May, and that, of course, is also due to some new changes. Cue: An updated eligibility period.

For the first time and exclusively for the 2025 Anime Awards, Crunchyroll has expanded the eligibility period of nominees to include titles released from October 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, to ensure “no anime goes uncelebrated.” Going forward, eligibility periods will be even more precise to fans, extending from January 1 to December 31.
