A cross between a coloured lipgloss and skin-loving balm, it’s infused with the same shea butter and peptide formula as the original Lip Treatments and currently comes in five shades: Espresso, Raspberry Jelly, Toast, Ribbon and the new PBJ.

Rhode Barrier Butter review:
“My first impression is that it glides on like its buttery moniker – but it also absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy on my skin. I love when a skincare product is a multi-tasker. I use it instead of Vaseline to slug and lock the rest of my skincare in. It’s also an S.O.S product in my bathroom cabinet. I use it on patches of flaky skin on my lips and around my nose – it even moonlights as a body and hand cream, too. If your skin is on the dry or more mature side – or you’ve just got off a flight – then this will pack more of a hydrating punch than using the Barrier Restore Cream alone.”
Rhode Pineapple Refresh Cleanser review:
“This is like every cleanser texture rolled into one: it starts out as a balm but then turns into a milky, bubbly foam on contact with water. Despite being very kind to skin, it still does the heavy lifting when it comes to removing makeup and sunscreen. But for me, the standout is the clever combination of ingredients. I can’t stress how gentle the exfoliating enzymes in this cleanser are, but it’s like Hailey has taken an insurance policy out for sensitive skin by also including soothing green tea extract and hydrating polyglutamic acid. Normally, my skin can’t tolerate an exfoliating cleanser more than twice a week but I use this every evening without any gnarly side effects. Not only that, but my skin feels really soft post-rinse rather than tight, and colleagues have commented on its glow. Another bonus is the scent. Don’t worry, the cleanser is free from synthetic fragrances but the natural scent of pineapple from the enzymes imparts a gorgeous, subtle tropical scent.”
Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment review:
“Like the lovechild between a balm and a gloss, the Peptide Lip Treatment keeps my lips plumper than a hotel pillow. I use it multiple times daily and, while it has a little more sheen than I’m used to, it doesn’t feel tacky or gloopy. Also, I haven’t suffered from nearly as many winter cold sores since using this product. My favourite flavour is Watermelon Slice – it reminds me of the fruity smell of old-school Chapsticks, which I was obsessed with as a child. The scent is both familiar and nostalgic and I apply it with the same gusto.”
Rhode Barrier Restore Cream review:
“Despite being jam-packed with niacinamide, shea butter, squalane and peptides – all proven hydrators – the texture is still lightweight. The formula is straightforward and no frills but given your serums are where your actives should be, it’s the perfect non-irritating topcoat for your skin. I also liked that it played nicely under makeup. For me, it’s a great daily moisturiser for the summer when you don’t want to suffocate your skin, but in winter I did need something a little creamier for comfort. If, like me, you find that your skin needs extra support it might be an idea to sandwich the Restore Cream between a layer of Glazing Fluid and Barrier Butter.”
Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid review:
“Pre-Rhode, I worshipped at the altar of Hailey’s glossy girl aesthetic in every Instagram post so I couldn’t wait to try this serum-gel-highlighter hybrid when it launched. It didn’t disappoint. The four pumps I massaged onto my freshly cleansed skin absorbed quickly and it plumped out any fine lines under my eyes, which is typically a very dry area. OK, it wasn’t exactly screaming ‘glazed donut’, but it did impart a healthy, soft-focus sheen to my skin. If you want a more strategic glow, try patting a few drops onto the tops of your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose – something which makeup artists swear by on shoots for a natural highlight. Crucially, my skin stayed juicy all day without looking in the least bit greasy.”
Rhode Glazing Milk review:
“Glycerin, hyaluronic acid and ceramides all take centre stage in the Glazing Milk to replenish and lock in hydration. There’s also beta glucan to attract water to the skin’s top layer, as well as anti-inflammatory zinc and copper – so there’s plenty of good-for-skin ingredients here. The milky texture feels deliciously cooling while the slightly damp finish is the ideal base for any serum you choose to apply over the top. Unlike other essences that I’ve tried, which sit somewhere between an oil and a toner, this has a thicker consistency. I like to pour a generous amount into the palm of my hand and gently press it into my skin and in summer I’ll just wear it on its own under my facial sunscreen.”
Rhode Peptide Lip Shape review:
“My first impression was that the Peptide Lip Shapes are surprisingly chunkier than I imagined – the tip is sized more like a lip crayon. But this makes sense, given they’re not designed for pin-thin precision but rather a soft-focus contour. They’re also insanely creamy with a butter-smooth texture that glides on easily without tugging or dragging the lip line. As with the Pocket Blushes, the pigment payoff is exceptional, even after you’ve softened the edges with the smudger. The inclusion of skincare ingredients meant that even in wintery weather my lips never felt dry or flaky.”
Rhode Peptide Lip Tint review:
“As a big fan of the original Lip Treatments, I knew I’d love the Lip Tints. These hybrid skincare-makeup products give the same reassurance that my lips will be hydrated – but this time with a subtle hint of colour. Lips almost look like they’ve been stained with an ice lolly – just with a glossier finish. Ribbon is a your-lips-but-better shade – think a pretty yet pared-back pinky peach hue on those white T-shirt and jeans kind of days. I also like dabbing a little of this shade onto my cheekbones for a glass-skin effect. With the other shades, I’ll outline my lips with a similar shade of lip liner first.”
Rhode Pocket Blush review:
“I love a makeup product I can swipe on when I’m in the back of a cab and simply pat it into my skin without using a mirror. This is that product. Despite their deceptively sheer finish, each blush is super pigmented and blends like a dream. As someone who rarely wears cream blusher because it seems to disappear on my skin after a few hours, I can vouch for the Pocket Blush’s impressive staying power. Scratch that, I’m actually converted by the juicy stain that makes your skin look so polished, I swear it would get you an upgrade on a flight.”
