Sweeney shared her latest look in an Instagram post captioned, “the last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite.” For the first pic, Sweeney was photographed laying on a jet ski in the water during a warm sunny day. Still, she was sporting one of the trendiest colors of the winter season, just in an unconventional way. She wore a mocha brown bikini from the swimwear brand Mikoh.
Going for a mix-and-match style that combined both sleek and casual vibes, Sweeney paired the more structured Bosa Top with the tie-waist Pacifica Bottom. For both, she opted for the deep chocolate brown colorway, “Kombu.”
Brown hues have been having a moment lately. The trending color understandably became a go-to in the fall as it matches the falling leaves, but it has kept its momentum well into the winter. It’s been spotted on some of the most influential style stars from Hailey Bieber, who often opts for monochrome looks and dropped the iconic rhode lippie shade and phone case, to Lily-Rose Depp, who put her own sheer twist on the trend.
Sweeney is no stranger to the trend herself. Just last month, she wore a cozy OOTD that showcased the hue and likewise gave it her own spin. She wore a mocha brown and white trim knit cardigan from Miu Miu and skipped the shirt underneath, opting for just a pair of casual blue jeans. She carried a matching mocha purse, adorned with charms. So as the season goes on, we can’t help but wonder if Sweeney will continue to take on the winter color trend in daring, bold ways.
