Fans began to speculate after the Challengers actress debuted her engagement ring on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet, a gorgeous east-to-west cut that didn’t match the rest of her Bulgari jewelry.

One day after the awards show, January 6, TMZ reported confirmation that The Crowded Room actor proposed over the holidays in between Christmas and New Year’s Day. According to “sources close to the couple,” Tom Holland proposed to Zendaya in a “very intimate setting” in the United States — apparently family was not present, it was a sweet moment shared just between the couple.

Holland and Zendaya have been dating since 2021 after meeting on set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, with Holland playing the titular web-slinging superhero and Zendaya playing MJ, his eventual love interest.

The two have kept their relationship extremely private over the years, sharing details of their courtship, friendship, and commitment to each other on their own terms. The couple values privacy, and shares small tidbits of their love with the world on special occasions like birthdays and big career milestones.
