This time, if her recent outings are any indication, her new Fenty x Puma Avanti LS trainers in royal blue are the one to watch.

Redesigned from the original Avanti, the LS is inspired by the Puma King football boot, and is a lighter, sleeker model featuring short gum studs – which reference a historic cleats style. Being Rihanna, she added her fashion twist to the sporty silhouette, creating her version in royal blue suede with touches of gold, a cream Formstrip, and a classic football gum sole.

RiRi has already been spotted styling these striking kicks twice in one week. First she wore them with a satin corset and barrel-legged jeans, paired with a micro Louis Vuitton denim bag and sweeping fur coat, and then more recently, a matching blue tracksuit and camel coat with fur trimmings and the Louis Vuitton Speedy bag. The fashion icon cleverly demonstrated just how versatile her new trainers are, and how they can add nuance in a way plain white trainers could not.
When it comes to trainer trends, shoes in vintage hues from mustard yellow to cherry red have been slowly making a comeback, and the Puma Speedcats of course have been finding favour amongst the fashion crowd, but few silhouettes have yet to trump the Adidas Samba — perhaps until now. Knowing Rihanna, her Fenty x Puma Avanti LS might just become 2025 hottest trainers.
