Oscars 2025: See All Nominations and Nominees Here

The Academy Awards are officially on their way, and the Oscars 2025 nominations list is finally here.

Both the voting period and nominations announcement for this year’s Oscars were extended and delayed, respectively, about a week to account for the ongoing wildfires still burning in Los Angeles that have devastated over 35,000 acres and displaced tens of thousands of Southern Californians. (At the time of writing, the Eaton and Palisades fires are not yet 100% contained, and a new fire, the Hughes fire, which broke out on Wednesday, January 22 is rapidly spreading.)

Despite calls for the ceremony to be postponed or cancelled altogether, and despite four Academy board members losing their homes to the fires, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on January 14 that the Oscars 2025 will not be moving from its set date of Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT. The nominees presentation began with an address by Academy leadership, expressing their “deepest sympathies” with those affected by the fires and confirming this year’s show will “pay tribute” to first responders.

Therefore, the nominees for the 97th annual Academy Awards were announced on Thursday, January 23 in an early morning livestream hosted by Bottoms star Rachel Sennott and Wicked and Saturday Night Live‘s Bowen Yang. The actor-writer-comedians presented the nominees for all 23 Oscars categories from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Standout nominees include Zoe Saldaña, Mikey Madison, Karla Sofía Gascón, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Kieran Culkin, Sebastian Stan, and Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande — with her first-ever career nomination. The witches came in hot this year!

Emilia Pérez leads the pack with a total of 13 nominations, with The Brutalist and Wicked tied for the second-most nominated film of the year with 10 nods each, and A Complete Unknown and Conclave close behind in third place with 8 nominations each.

This year’s ceremony will take place at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre and will be hosted by former late night host Conan O’Brien; this will be the first Oscars ceremony to be broadcast via live stream on Hulu. Keep reading to check out the complete list of Oscars 2025 nominees.
